My friends were puzzled. They just couldn’t see
Why I liked Bilgus and his eccentricities

He also has a baby werewolf living in his beard
His name is Scragglefoot, but there’s no need to fear (cause he’s a baby)

His name is Bilgus
He’s a Swamp Dwarf
He’s from the swamp, but he lives on my back porch
Only has three teeth and mushrooms in his hair
A crystal scepter, there’s no one that can compare

He used to be king of the bog
But the city came in, drained the marsh
And turned the trees to logs
They built some condos and a mall
It was such a pretty swamp
But they destroyed it all
Bilgus and his friends all had to flee
And that’s how he and Scragglefoot
Found their way to me…

At first it was weird with him and his beard
Living on my porch
But now I can see, it’s real easy
To befriend a swamp dwarf
I wouldn’t trade the friendship we’ve made
For a clean and tidy place
I confess, I don’t mind the mess
Everyone deserves a space

Just then, Bilgus burst through the wall, and to our delight, he started dancing, as we all sang…
